Throughout the spring and summer colleagues from Greencore’s sites at Manton Wood, Kiveton and the UK Centre in Barlborough have worked on a community project for local children’s hospice, Bluebell Wood, to create a floral sanctuary for bereaved families.

The project was the brainchild of Group Environmental Administrator, Emma Davis, who recruited the support of Greencore colleagues to help develop and coordinate the necessary fundraising activities and to organise the physical work at Bluebell Wood.

Last week representatives from Greencore attended a small opening ceremony at the hospice, and heard how a recently bereaved family have started to make use of this garden.
