As we continue through the COVID-19 pandemic, keeping our people safe remains our top priority.

In line with updated Government guidance, as the number of confirmed cases across the UK and Ireland continues to rise, and taking on board colleague feedback, wearing of face coverings at all Greencore sites is now mandatory. This has already been the case at our Direct to Store depots for several weeks and we have now successfully trialled it at three of our manufacturing sites.

We are now asking all Greencore colleagues, contractors, visitors and agency colleagues to wear a face covering from the moment they enter site and to wear them in all communal areas at all times with the following exceptions:

  • When smoking in a smoking shelter
  • When in an office area if seated at a desk or seated in a meeting room
  • When eating and or drinking
  • If medically exempt

Single use face masks, reusable fabric face coverings and visors can all be worn. These must fit securely and cover your nose and mouth while allowing you to breathe comfortably. They must be clean and fit for purpose and unless they are single use versions, they should be laundered regularly.

We will provide approved visors and fabric face coverings where colleagues do not have their own. Individuals are responsible for ensuring their face coverings are handled in a safe and hygienic way. More details about how face coverings should be put on and off, stored and disposed of are included on our intranet. Please take time to read this important guidance.

If you have any questions or concerns about face coverings, please speak to your manager.

Thank you for your ongoing support as we continue to do everything we can to reduce the risk and spread of the virus.
