Five years ago today, Natasha’s Law came into force, transforming food allergen labelling and giving millions of people living with food allergies greater transparency and confidence in the food they buy.
At Greencore, we pride ourselves on being leaders in safe food production for all, particularly those with allergies.
Ten years after Natasha’s death, her legacy continues to drive meaningful change, but there is still so much more to do to make living with food allergies safer for everyone.

What if empty capacity on lorries already travelling across the UK could help put more food on the tables of people going hungry?
Eight million people go hungry in the UK, a quarter of them children, and charities say they can’t meet demand. At the same time around 30% of HGV journeys in the UK have some kind of spare capacity, so we’ve been collectively looking at how we can use this as an opportunity for good.
Our early trials have been really promising. We are already providing twice-weekly movements for the UK’s leading food redistribution charity, Felix, within London, free of charge, with projected annual savings of around £18,000. And we're joined in the initiative by Sainsbury’s, GXO, Tesco, M&S and Gist.
