The Group Leadership Team has responsibility for the development of our overall purpose, vision and strategy as well as holding collective accountability for overall business performance and the development and deployment of functional excellence.
This Group is underpinned by a Group Executive, comprising of the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief People Officer, Chief Strategy Officer and Group Company Secretary.
Chief Executive Officer
Patrick is the Group’s CEO and leads the integrated Group Leadership Team.
Patrick joined Greencore in September 2005 having been appointed as the Group’s Chief Financial Officer. In March 2008, Patrick was appointed Chief Executive Officer. Before joining Greencore, Patrick was managing partner of McKinsey & Co., Ireland. Patrick serves as a non-executive director of Glanbia plc and is also non-executive chairman of Core Media.
Chief Financial Officer
Emma joined Greencore as Chief Financial Officer Designate in April 2020 and became Chief Financial Officer in May 2020.
Emma has held a number of senior finance roles during her career, including more latterly as chief financial officer of Press Up Entertainment Group. Prior to joining Press Up Entertainment Group in 2019, Emma spent over 11 years with Greencore in a variety of finance leadership roles. Emma’s most recent role at Greencore was Group Finance Director where she led a large finance function responsible for financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, financing and capital management, treasury, tax, strategic finance projects, and corporate activity.
Chief Commercial Officer
Kevin is Chief Commercial Officer with responsibility for commercial, marketing and insight, end-to-end value chain optimisation, new product development, purchasing, coordination across our business units and Greencore’s Direct to Store and distribution operations. Prior to his current appointment, Kevin served as Managing Director of Greencore’s Food to Go and previously Prepared Meals divisions.
Before joining the business, Kevin worked in senior roles in management consultancy and retail.
Chief Operating Officer
Clare is Chief Operating Officer, having previously served as UK Manufacturing Director. In this role, Clare leads all aspects of manufacturing across the UK network, including operational performance across our 16 sites, Greencore Manufacturing Excellence, engineering, technical, sustainability, health, safety & environment and supply chain planning.
Clare has previously held a variety of senior roles in Greencore including Commercial Director of Greencore Food to Go, Business Unit Managing Director of Greencore Food to Go Retail and Managing Director of Greencore Convenience Foods.
Chief People Officer
Guy is Chief People Officer and is responsible for human resources across the Group. Prior to this Guy served as HR Director for the Prepared Meals division.
Prior to this he held a variety of senior HR roles in the UK and Europe, with the majority of his experience over this time within the manufacturing sector. Guy has also held a number of directorships, board and pension trustee roles during his career.
Chief Strategy Officer
Nigel is Chief Strategy Officer. He joined Greencore in 2017 as Special Advisor to the CEO and was promoted to the position of Group Strategy Director in March 2020 and then Chief Strategy Officer in May 2021. Prior to joining Greencore Nigel worked as a strategy consultant with McKinsey and in multiple public policy positions within the EU institutions.
Group Company Secretary
Jolene took up the role of Group Company Secretary in January 2019. Jolene previously served as Head of Legal and Compliance, with responsibility for driving legal compliance and best practice across the Group. Prior to this, Jolene was Deputy Group Secretary, having joined the Group in August 2008. Jolene was also director and company secretary of Simon Community Galway, Ireland.

Business Unit Director – Food to Go Northampton
Simon is Business Unit Director for our Marks & Spencer dedicated Business Unit in Northampton. Simon joined Greencore from Marks & Spencer and has also served as Managing Director at Jacksons, IPL and Hazeldene Foods.
Group Financial Controller
Catherine is Group Financial Controller, having previously served as Finance Director and Business Unit Director at our ambient cooking sauces and pickles facility in Selby. Catherine joined Greencore as Finance Director of Greencore Food to Go in 2015, and has previously served in senior roles at Morrisons and Northern Foods.
Business Unit Director – Prepared Meals
Fred is Business Unit Director of our Prepared Meals business, which comprises six manufacturing sites which produce chilled ready meals, quiche, chilled sauces, chilled soups and Yorkshire Puddings. Fred has previously worked in senior commercial positions with Kimberley-Clark, General Mills and GSK.
Business Unit Director – Grocery
Nathan is Commercial Director and Business Unit Director at our ambient cooking sauces and pickles facility in Selby. Nathan joined Greencore from Company Shop Group and has many years’ experience in senior roles at Asda.
Business Unit Director – Salads
Lee is Business Unit Director for our Salads Business Unit, comprising our sites in Boston and Spalding. Lee joined Greencore in 2015 and has served in a number of operational management roles, most recently as Operations Director, with responsibility for our Prepared Meals Business Unit. Prior to joining Greencore Lee served with several other food manufacturing companies.
Business Unit Director – Food to Go
Andy is Business Unit Director for Greencore’s Food to Go business, comprising six sites, which produce sandwiches, wraps, sushi and other food to go items. Prior to joining Greencore Andy held senior commercial and buying roles with Aldi and Pepsico.
Group Information Technology Director
Dan is Greencore’s Group IT Director. Dan is responsible for the technology agenda for the Group and ensuring the security, scalability, efficiency and performance of our IT systems. Before become Group IT Director Dan was responsible for IT Business Engagement at Greencore and prior to joining Greencore Dan worked as a Senior Manager at Accenture.
Group Technical Director
Martin is Group Technical Director. He has responsibility for food safety, quality and sustainability as well as the leadership of the central technical team, which manages supplier performance and our technical systems. Martin has worked across all our manufacturing sites during his time at Greencore. Prior to joining Greencore, Martin worked at NSF International supporting the technical standards of Whitbread and other foodservice brands.
Group Purchasing Director
Alwen is the Group’s Purchasing Director. Alwen has held several senior roles in the business and has led the integration of both the Atherstone and Heathrow sites. Prior to joining Greencore, Alwen worked in procurement at Northern Foods, and in the textiles manufacturing industry.
