I want to remind everyone of our approach to lateral flow testing. As you know, throughout the pandemic we have and will continue to follow Government and scientific advice. This includes the guidance they have provided for all of us to carry out regular lateral flow testing.
Testing is a very important tool to help protect our colleagues, friends, families, to keep the economy open and to keep the country out of lockdown.
To help us continue to keep our people safe and reduce the risk from the virus, we are encouraging all colleagues to participate in this type of regular testing. The test kits are now readily available, free of charge and results are confirmed within 30 minutes.
- Colleagues who are currently working from home and those who work at our Direct to Store sites can order test kits from the Government website or pick them up free of charge from a local pharmacy
- Colleagues who work at our manufacturing sites, where we are not currently carrying out onsite testing, can collect free home test kits from their local Health & Safety team and then take the test kits home
- We are still carrying out regular testing in the workplace at several of our sites and we would continue to encourage colleagues at these sites to make use of this service where it is available
More information on each of these ways to access testing can be found in this guide. Please record all results of the lateral flow tests you undertake on the Government website. If you test positive from a lateral flow test, you also need to let your manager know and you should of course follow all relevant self-isolation guidance.
I realise that taking regular tests can be unpleasant, but it is an important role we can all play to reduce the impact of the virus, protect our colleagues, friends, families and keep the county out of another lockdown.
