Our colleagues based at UK Centre and the IT Project Office in Barlborough came together on Wednesday 18 December for a special Christmas event. As well as having lots of fun during the day they also raised funds for Bluebell Wood,  a local children’s hospice.

The day kicked off with a special Christmas Movie Bingo followed by a Greencore Way Awards presentation to recognise some great achievements from our colleagues.

Following on from that a ‘serious’ Christmas Bake-Off took place with some very tasty looking entries. Gareth Hopkins, Greencore Development Chef from Kiveton, was the guest judge and had a lovely time trying the bakes before announcing his chosen winners.

Lunch was then served consisting of roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, sprouts (of course!) and stuffing balls, gravy and cranberry sauce along with vegetarian/vegan options which went down very well with everyone.

The afternoon’s activities included a treasure hunt and a Christmas tree competition.  Colleagues sent in photos of their trees and colleagues had to guess which belonged to who.

The team raised a fantastic £161.85 for Bluebell Wood Hospice.
