October is #BlackHistoryMonth, celebrating the contributions of people with Black African and Caribbean heritage, and recognising the impact they have on British history and society.

Ardelle Fawehinmi, daughter of Helen, our Technical Controller at Park Royal won our BHM logo design competition, which will feature as part of our logos, as well as being displayed across our sites and depots.

Ardelle said: “My design was inspired by the unity I often experience amongst women through my African culture. I wanted to create my own interpretation of what unity looked like. The women pictured are holding a pot of gold, and to me this symbolises the product of partnering in community. I wanted to highlight the beauty of my culture in my most authentic way.”
