I am delighted to launch our first ever Greencore Annual Shine Awards.

Who do you want to shine a spotlight on? We want you to nominate the colleagues who you think really stand out – for the drive, dedication, and impact they have made over the last 18 months.

The awards complement our existing forms of recognition including our thank you cards and local Greencore Way Awards. They also give us the opportunity to share examples of best practice, ideas, and initiatives that colleagues have been involved in right across our business. Our Shine Awards will help us recognise the determination, skill, commitment, and bravery colleagues have displayed since the start of last year.

There are 13 categories for both teams and individuals, and we are looking for nominations that cover work which has taken place between January 2020 and August 2021. You can nominate anyone – those you work with, your wider team, a different team, your supervisor/manager, or even yourself!

There are three different ways for you to nominate:

  • Complete the electronic version of the form, attached to this email or available on the intranet, by typing the details of your nomination into the PDF and emailing it to colleague.communications@greencore.com
  • Visit the Shine Awards dedicated area of our My Core Benefits platform, filling in the information required and submitting your nomination
  • Complete a hard copy of the nomination form (available at our sites and depots), scan or take a picture of it and send it to colleague.communications@greencore.com or hand to your manager or local HR team

You can read more about the categories, the judging process and when we plan to hold our awards ceremony in this awards information and nomination form.

Nominations close on Friday 10 September 2021.

I’d love to see us receive entries from right across the business – we have delivered so much through COVID and there is lots for us to celebrate and shout about. Don’t delay, submit your nomination today.
