Volunteers from Greencore Grocery in Selby attended a local event arranged by Nybep.  The events in December 2015 and January 2016 held at two local high schools, Selby High and Holy Family Catholic High School were designed to give year 9 students a feel for opportunities post 16.

The aim of the event was to help young people understand more about the world of work and identify the pathways and opportunities that are available to them upon leaving education. Whilst taking part students also got a valuable opportunity to ask key questions, identify vital skills sets and gain a unique insight into the wide variety of jobs they may have never otherwise considered.

The event was attended by training providers, further education institutes and local organisations and gave local young adults the chance to see what great career choices they have right on their doorstep.
