• Will Greencore Sponsor my Visa?

  Unfortunately, Greencore cannot sponsor employment visas.

• What stage do I need to be in my career?

  These programmes are designed for those in an early stage of their career.

• Will I have to relocate?

  Applicants must be willing to be flexible and mobile within the UK over the duration of the graduate programme they are applying for.

• I’m an international student — can I still apply?

  Yes, you can apply as long as you already have the appropriate visa or immigration status that allows you to work in the UK for the duration of the programme or placement. Unfortunately, we cannot provide sponsorship or apply for visas on your behalf.

• What happens after I submit my application?

  Once your application has been received, you will get a confirmation email. Our recruitment team will then review your application and guide you through the next steps in the process.

• How long will it take to hear back after I apply?

  We aim to update you as soon as possible. If you don’t hear from us straight away, please check your Junk inbox. Our recruitment team may still be reviewing applications. You’ll always be contacted to let you know the outcome of your application.

• How will you contact me during the process?

  Most communication will be via email, so please check your inbox (and junk inbox) regularly. In some cases, we may also send a text message or call you to discuss interview details or assessment centre arrangements.

• When will I find out if I’ve been invited to an assessment centre?

  Assessment centre invitations are typically sent a few weeks in advance, giving you plenty of time to prepare.

• Do I need to travel for the assessment centre?

  Yes, our assessment centres are held in person at one of our Greencore sites; either London, Newark or Spalding.

• What should I expect at the assessment centre?

  You’ll take part in a mix of individual and group exercises designed to assess your skills, behaviours and potential. It’s also a great opportunity to meet members of our team, learn more about Greencore, and ask any questions you may have.

• Do I need relevant work experience to apply?

  Relevant experience is helpful but not essential. For graduates, we ask for at least three months of work experience (this could be an internship, part-time role, or voluntary work). For placements, a strong academic record and genuine motivation to work in the food industry are key.

• Can I apply to more than one programme or placement?

  You can apply for more than one role if you feel your skills and interests fit across multiple programmes. We recommend tailoring each application to highlight your motivations and relevant experience for that specific role.

  Should you be invited to more than one Assessment Centre, you may be asked to pick your most preferred stream.

• Will I receive feedback if I am unsuccessful?

  Due to the high number of applications we receive, we are not always able to provide detailed feedback at the early stages. However, if you attend an assessment centre, you will receive feedback on your performance.

• When do applications close?

  Applications are due to close by 1st December (Technical Placement applications close 15th Nov). If we receive high levels of applications, the closing date may move forward, so getting your application in early is a good idea. If you have started an application and the closing date changes, we will notify you.

• When do the programmes and placements start?

  Undergraduate placements begin in July 2027, and graduate programmes start in September 2027.

• Can I defer my place if I’m successful?

  Unfortunately, we are not able to defer offers to a later year. If you are unable to start with us in 2027, you are welcome to reapply in the following recruitment cycle.
