  • Overview

    An Assessment Centre for this programme is scheduled for Thursday 21st or Friday 22nd January 2027 at the Spalding site.

    Salary:

    £31,000 per annum, plus a £1,000 welcome bonus once settled in the business. £3,600.00 London Weighting where applicable.

    Duration:

    3 years, commencing 1st September 2027, made up of three 12-month placements at different locations across the UK.

    This Engineering Graduate Programme is your launchpad into a career at the heart of Greencore, designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to pursue a career in Engineering and become a subject matter expert in infrastructure and utilities within a food and drink business. From day one you’ll get hands-on with real projects alongside site leaders and subject matter experts, building the technical depth to grow into a senior leader through capital projects or infrastructure and utilities work. You’ll also get involved in technical performance reviews and continuous improvement, learning to apply engineering practices that comply with food safety, health and safety, environmental, sustainability and engineering regulations, while balancing cost, service levels and production needs.

    You will have a dedicated Programme Champion as a key contact, a mentor to guide your development, and a line manager who provides regular performance reviews. You’ll join a cohort of up to 20 other graduates and connect with a broad network of alumni, supported throughout by on-the-job training.   • About you

    • Achieved or expected to achieve at least a 2:2 honours degree in a relevant Engineering discipline: Electrical, Process & Thermal, or Mechanical.

    • At least three months of relevant work experience; project delivery, governance and cost control experience would be desirable.

    • Right to work in the UK for a minimum of 3 years from September 2027.

    • A clear commitment to advancing your career in the food industry — a curious mindset with a drive to challenge conventional practices, flexibility and adaptability.

    • Willingness to complete three 12-month placements at different locations across the UK (your preferences will be considered).

    • Alignment with Greencore’s values and a strong fit with the organisation.

    • A full UK driving licence is essential.
