• Overview

  An Assessment Centre for this placement programme is scheduled for Thursday 11th February 2027 at the Newark site.

  Salary:

  £26,850.00 plus £3,600 London Weighting where applicable.

  Duration:

  12-month fixed-term contract, commencing end of June 2027.

  This placement offers the chance to develop your passion for food while gaining invaluable insight into the industry, playing an active role in the relationship between Greencore as a supplier and major UK retailers. You will gain skills in data management and analysis, commercial systems and processes, category management and sales, while building working relationships across development, finance, operations and supply chain to understand the complexities of food manufacturing and supply.

  You will work with an experienced line manager who conducts regular performance reviews and supports you through a skills checklist to ensure your development. Assuming everything progresses as planned, Greencore will help you identify the right career opportunities upon completing your degree — including direct entry roles or a place on the Graduate Programme. • About you

  • A passion for food, ideally as an undergraduate studying a business-related or food-science degree — though all degree backgrounds are welcome if you have a passion for food (must be mid-degree, not mid-masters).

  • Confidence handling data and good numeracy skills, with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated experience of working as part of a team.

  • A clearly articulated motivation to learn more about the food industry, and a desire to learn how Commercial teams contribute to business success.

  • An ability to apply practical ideas, demonstrate adaptability, and show curiosity and initiative.

  • An existing right to work in the UK (unable to sponsor visas for this placement).

  • A full UK driver’s licence with own transport is preferred for Lincolnshire and Selby placements.
