A large group of colleagues from the Greencore Grocery facility in Hull, together with colleagues from Lloyds Banking Group, GI Group and KCOM, participated in ‘Give & Gain Day 2016’, organised by Business in the Community.

The volunteers in Hull spent the day creating an exciting space for pupils at Sutton Park Primary school, who have additional support requirements.

In addition, 15 pupils took part in a ‘Roving Reporters’ activity, where they spent the day recording the activities and creating newsletters, which will be presented to the Lord Mayor of Hull at a reception later this year.

Business in the Community’s Give & Gain Day is the only global day of employee volunteering. Now in its ninth year, it saw around 15,000 business volunteers across the world giving almost 74,000 hours volunteering time, helping hundreds of community organisations.
