Leading convenience food manufacturer, Greencore, is this year celebrating 200 colleagues across its business on completing its bespoke professional development programme ‘Line/Logistics Coordinator Framework’, or ‘LCF’ for short. Last week the first cohort of eight colleagues, based at the company’s distribution centre in Hatfield, were the first to graduate.

Six of the graduates attended a special presentation event at the Hatfield distribution centre, which was also attended by representatives from the Greencore leadership team.

Commenting on the Logistics Coordinator Framework and the graduates, Andy Gillies, Business Unit Director at Greencore said:

“I am incredibly proud of the colleagues that have completed our Logistics Coordinator Framework programme. Everyone has had to work extremely hard and in challenging circumstances, but we hope that this will enable our people to become even better leaders in our business, with the opportunity to further progress their careers with us.

“As a major employer, we want to make Greencore a great place to work and create a great experience for all our colleagues. We feel strongly about supporting our people in growing as professionals and to give them the opportunity to further develop their careers – this is part of our ‘Grow with Greencore’ ethos.”

One of the graduates, Ioana Nedelcoff, Warehouse Team Leader said:

“My experience with LCF has been really positive. I learnt a lot of new communication techniques, which I can use both at work and outside of work. Our facilitator has been very supportive and there were a lot of interactive activities that made the sessions fun and memorable. I learnt a lot about how to get to know people around me and how to get the best out of working with them.”

LCF is a 12-month professional development programme designed to give Greencore colleagues the opportunity to learn new skills in order to develop their careers with the company. Logistics Coordinator Framework differentiates itself from other professional development programs in that it is grounded in the work that our colleagues do each day and has a creative, more practical hands-on approach to learning.
