Cynthia Spencer Hospice – Press Release

The Commercial team from Greencore Northampton paid another visit to our patients in our Day Hospice just before Christmas, to spread a little festive cheer and of course, they brought along another lovely buffet!

Anthony Chadwick from Greencore said: “The Commercial Team at Greencore Northampton thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the day hospice, for us it capped the end of another year where we were privileged to continue our support for Cynthia Spencer. For some of our newer members of the team it was their first visit, but yet again we were blown away by the warm welcome from all, we enjoyed serving a light lunch of Christmas sandwiches followed by Christmas cake and Mince Pies, it was great to see the patients and staff getting into the Christmas spirit. After lunch we divided in to teams for the Christmas Quiz, this was hotly contested and went down to the wire as usual.

“To cap the afternoon off we were treated to Christmas Carols led by 2 professional singers! It was great to see everyone join in and certainly got us all in the mood for Christmas, we thoroughly enjoyed spending time with everyone.  As well as the fundraising events that we try to do to support the Hospice, days spent actually with the staff and patients are immensely valuable to us, and help us feel part of the community, hopefully the patients enjoy our visits as much as we do, seeing the care & support that is provided by Cynthia Spencer is truly inspirational, and makes us even more determined to continue our support throughout 2019 and beyond.

“Thank you once again for hosting us, looking forward to our Dodgeball debut in February and further opportunities to support you in 2019.”

Chelsea Galpin, corporate partnerships fundraiser at the Hospice said: “Following their visit to the Day Hospice during the summer it was great to welcome the guys from Greencore back again. Christmas is a special time at the Hospice and the effort that the folks from Greencore went to in order to make the afternoon extra memorable for our patients, staff and volunteers is truly wonderful and will have made such a difference for everyone who attended.

“Greencore have been a constant supporter of the Hospice for a while now and we’re thrilled that they get satisfaction and enjoyment out of giving that support. That’s what a partnership with the Hospice is all about! We look forward to working with the Greencore team more in 2019 both in the Franklins £50 Challenge and our next Dodgeball event. Let the games begin!”
