Local food manufacturer Greencore, based on the Hownsgill Industrial Park, Consett, is on the lookout for 10 new colleagues to join their team in various roles, shifts and contract types – and you can come and meet them and find out more about what jobs are available at the Consett Heart – Heritage & Arts Centre, The Old Ambulance Hall, John Street, Consett DH8 5LA on Friday 9 July.
Members of the Greencore team will be hosting an Open Day, and will be available to talk about the many exciting vacancies that are available, talk about what benefits and career development opportunities the company has to offer and be on hand to answer any questions.
In fact this isn’t the first time Greencore has visited the Heritage Centre they recently donated paint and equipment to decorate the main hall and are looking forward to supporting them in the future to ensure the centre looks its best for the local community.
Commenting on the Open Day, Matt Bott, General Manager at Greencore Consett said; “We are delighted to be such a thriving local business and we are excited about prospect of being able to create further employment opportunities in our local community. It was a pleasure for our team to have supported the Heritage Centre recently and we are grateful to them for hosting this event for us. Brian Harrison from the Heritage Centre said: “We are over the moon to have the Greencore Open Day event as one of our very first after the initial opening of the Centre. It has been a long slog to get Consett Heart up and running amidst the restrictions and problems associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. But with the kind help, assistance and donations from the local people and businesses such as Greencore, we have managed to make it. We still have a long way to go but we plan on making Consett Heart – Heritage & Arts Centre a place for the whole area to be proud, through the promotion of our local heritage and arts.”
The Greencore Open Day will run from 10am to 4pm on Friday 9 July. Pre-registration is not required.
