Last week our team in Selby bought and delivered food supplies to a small, local charity called Sleepsafe Selby.

The charity aims to provide a safety net for people who are at risk of becoming rough sleepers.  They provide accommodation for up to eight weeks and support their guests in getting into secure tenancies, building work experience through volunteering and actively seeking employment.

Sleepsafe Selby operates out of a small complex made from shipping containers that provides six secure rooms, a communal kitchen & lounge, showers and a washing machine.   It is entirely run by volunteers who encourage the guests to get involved in running and maintaining the site.  We regularly supply them with cooking sauces, produced at our Selby site and will continue to work with them to help in any way we can.
