⚽️ Team spirit in full swing!
Last week, our salads site in Boston took to the pitch against Bakkavor’s ready meals team in a lively football match — ending 6–2 in Bakkavor’s favour!
This friendly showdown is part of a fantastic initiative led by Greencore’s Aaron Houghton and Jake Moody to build stronger connections with local businesses.
What better way to kick things off than with Bakkavor? With more matches planned and a rematch already brewing for the new year, this is just the beginning of bringing local people together beyond the workplace.

🌺 Armistice Day Service – Spalding Site 🌺
Today, colleagues at our Spalding site gathered to honour Armistice Day in a moving service organised by our Site Engineering Controller, Bob Conroy. Bob, a military veteran and Warrant Officer Class One (Artificer Sergeant Major), served with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers for 24 years.
The service was well attended, with Remembrance crosses placed by representatives from each department, and a main wreath laid by General Manager Simon Taylor. Simon also gave a poignant reading:
"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them."
The Last Post was played, followed by two minutes of silence as we paid our respects to those who gave their lives in service.
