Greencore’s 100th anniversary celebrations have taken us from the London Stock Exchange to events across our sites and teams, marking a milestone that few businesses ever reach.
The celebrations culminated in a special event at St Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin, bringing together leaders from business and government alongside people from across Greencore to mark a century of growth and transformation, and look ahead to the company’s next chapter.
We were honoured to be joined by Taoiseach Micheál Martin, Ambassador Kara Owen and Minister Noel Grealish, alongside four former Greencore CEOs, current leaders and colleagues from our Early Careers programmes.
The evening showcased the scale of Greencore’s transformation over the past century, from its beginnings in the Irish sugar industry to one of the UK’s leading convenience food businesses today. It also looked ahead to the opportunities for Greencore as it enters its second century.

Addressing guests, Dalton spoke about Greencore’s roots in Ireland and his confidence in the future.
“A century later, we carry that same belief in what we can achieve together. And looking around this room, I have every confidence in what comes next.”
Dalton Philips, CEO, Greencore
Greencore’s history was woven throughout the evening, including through a menu created especially for the occasion by Greencore chefs. Each course represented a different stage in the company’s development, from its agricultural origins and move into convenience food to a final dessert course inspired by the future.
The evening concluded with a performance by Irish vocal ensemble ANÚNA.
As Greencore’s centenary year draws to a close, attention is firmly on what comes next. Today, Greencore is a bigger and more ambitious business, with the scale, expertise and talent to build on 100 years of progress and shape the next chapter of its growth.
