At Greencore
to Inclusion & Diversity

We believe that we ultimately differentiate ourselves through our people and therefore we strive to create a culture where our people can be themselves at work and fulfil their potential. We believe that inclusion and diversity enable better business outcomes. Our inclusion and diversity approach embeds our purpose across the business and helps our colleagues belong and thrive just by being themselves. It’s our commitment to making every day better for our colleagues.

We aspire to have
A workforce at least as diverse as the communities in which we operate, the customers we serve, and the consumers who buy our products.
A culture where people can be themselves at work.
An organisation that creates opportunities for our people to fulfil their potential at work.
A business that has inclusion and diversity hardwired into everything we do, where every colleague understands how important it is to us and we demonstrate that every day.

At our Devizes and Highbridge sites, supporting local communities goes hand in hand with reducing food waste. When there’s surplus stock of the delicious desserts made on-site, it’s donated to FareShare. And thanks to smart use of point‑of‑sale data, slower‑moving items from the on‑site shop - supplied by multiple sites are also redirected to where they’re needed most.

South West Shop Team Leader Faye Wright plays a key role in making this happen. She works closely with local charities, including the Morland Community Hub and the Weston‑super‑Mare Food Bank, ensuring they receive regular and varied donations.

👏 A brilliant example of how our teams are strengthening community relationships while making sure good food never goes to waste.

Bringing Greencore and Bakkavor together wasn’t just about combining what we make - it was about amplifying the difference we can create. Both organisations have a long history of redistributing surplus food to charities, community groups and good causes across the UK, ensuring good food feeds people, not bins.

His Majesty the King’s recent visit to our Warrington site shone a spotlight on this incredible work, celebrating our contribution to the Coronation Food Project and the impact we’re already making as one team.

Now, united as a single organisation, we have the opportunity to go even further.

Check out the infographic to see how our surplus food redistribution is helping communities across the UK.
