What an incredible Food Safety & Quality Week across our sites!

Last week, teams up and down the business came together for our third annual celebration dedicated to something that sits at the heart of everything we do: keeping food safe and delivering the highest quality, every single day.

Our sites really brought the energy. We saw:
- Competitions and quizzes that put our knowledge to the test
- Games and interactive activities that made learning fun
- Insightful talks and sessions that helped us all think differently about food safety

And of course, plenty of reminders about the small actions that make a big difference — like washing our hands properly (water first, then soap!)

A special shout‑out to our Manton Wood team for creating a brilliant handwashing video that got everyone talking and practising good habits.

Thank you to every colleague who got involved, shared ideas, and embraced the spirit of the week. Together, we’ve shown once again that food safety and quality isn’t just a responsibility - it’s something we can all champion.

Here’s to being food safety and quality superheroes all year round.

Meet Blair, one of our Manufacturing Apprentices at our Bo’ness site!

“I applied for an apprenticeship in food manufacturing because I enjoy working in a hands-on, practical environment and I was interested in the opportunity to grow professionally towards my career goals.

I have developed practical and professional skills that are important in a production environment, including strict health & safety and hygiene standards, and how to operate machinery safely. My attention to detail, time management, problem-solving and confidence have also really improved.
The most rewarding part has been to apply what I’ve learned in a real-life production environment and seeing the results of my efforts.”
